We are hiring a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our busy distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient processing of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting items from designated locations, accurately counting and verifying them, and then packaging them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be expected to utilize various warehouse tools and systems, and a high level of focus is essential. Understanding and adhering to our safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE, is critical. This role involves consistent lifting and physical activity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Pack products securely and efficiently for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy by comparing items picked with order details.
- Operate scanning equipment and follow system prompts for order processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the packing station and surrounding work area.
- Perform quality checks on picked and packed items.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to meet performance goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and processes is beneficial.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Understanding of safety procedures and commitment to using PPE.
- Experience in logistics or fulfillment is a plus.
