Do you want to help shape the future of digital integration in Scotland’s public sector? The Digital Operations team within iTECS is supporting the migration of HR and Finance systems to the Oracle Cloud/Fusion platform. This role is for a DevOps engineer experienced with Oracle Cloud, integration, architecture and middleware. Reporting to the Integrations Lead, you will manage, implement, configure and monitor integrations across Oracle Cloud and other key digital systems.
Base pay range This role is part of the Scottish Government Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) profession. Pay is based on skills and experience. Currently, the position attracts a £5,000.00 annual DDAT pay supplement after a 3-month qualifying period.
Responsibilities
Support and develop the Scottish Government iTECS managed digital applications integrations architecture, including Oracle Cloud (OIC).
Strategically manage, deliver and maintain integrations as defined in the integrations catalogue, advising on best practice.
Review existing build pipelines and recommend improvements to code reuse, performance, security and deployment.
Ensure seamless integration of data across platforms.
Provide technical support and resolve digital integration incidents, problems and changes.
Work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager and other specialists to ensure successful integration outcomes.
Represent iTECS on various fora and boards as required.
Experience
Lead Criteria 1: Technical knowledge of Oracle HCM & ERP integration components, Oracle middleware and end‑to‑end architecture.
Lead Criteria 2: Knowledge of Oracle middleware components – SOA Cloud Service, Java Cloud Service (JCS), Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Managed File Transfer (MFT).
Prior experience in IT application integrations development and management across enterprise‑scale technology stacks.
Understanding of integration transformation and impact on technical change and estimation.
Technical Skills This role aligns with the Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in the Software Engineering/Development Job Family.
