We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our thriving logistics center in Sacramento, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and ensuring that our inventory system reflects real-time stock levels. Your efforts will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by minimizing stockouts and overages. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management best practices. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. You will play a key part in optimizing stock flow, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. This position requires a commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all established safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and implement replenishment strategies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO, FEFO).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Work closely with receiving, shipping, and operational teams.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, including the use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and moving inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Understanding of safety regulations and PPE usage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
