We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will operate a reach truck to efficiently move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in our warehouse. Your expertise will ensure that inventory is stored correctly, and that materials are readily available for order fulfillment. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires precision and skill in operating specialized equipment. A thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management is essential. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to maintain smooth operations and contribute to our overall logistics efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials from various warehouse locations.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trailers.
- Ensure accurate placement of inventory on racking systems.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment issues.
- Contribute to meeting daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
