We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role involves managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and implementing operational improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a proven ability to lead and motivate staff. You will be instrumental in maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This position requires a commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Extensive experience in lifting and moving goods will be essential, as will a thorough knowledge of logistics best practices. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff to achieve daily operational goals.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates on proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper utilization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and using required PPE.
