Our Salt Lake City, Utah location is seeking a proactive and skilled Inventory Control Specialist. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. Your key duties will include performing regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize shrinkage. You will work closely with the warehouse operations team to ensure proper receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, all while upholding stringent Safety standards. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) are highly desirable. You will analyze inventory data, identify trends, and provide reports to management to support informed decision-making. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This role may involve some moderate Lifting of inventory items. Ensuring that all warehouse personnel adhere to Safety guidelines and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a critical aspect of this position. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS
- Analyze inventory levels and report on stock status
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures
- Assist in managing the receiving and put-away processes
- Monitor stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items
- Ensure adherence to all Safety regulations and PPE usage
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives
- Collaborate with operations and procurement teams
