Job Summary:
We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the movement and organization of materials throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, stocking, and distributing various types of materials. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety. You will be working with a team to ensure the efficient flow of products, contributing to our overall Logistics success. Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming materials and verify them against shipping documents.
  • Unpack, sort, and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies.
  • Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Stock materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and FIFO where applicable.
  • Pick and prepare materials for internal use or for outbound shipments.
  • Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper Lifting techniques are used for all material handling tasks.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support overall Logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
  • Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and Safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Understanding of basic inventory management principles.
  • Commitment to following all Safety regulations and procedures.
