Substance Misuse Nurse – Harrogate Are you an experienced Substance Misuse Nurse looking to make a difference in a specialist healthcare setting? Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to join a reputable service in Harrogate on a 6-month temporary contract, with a possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills within a dynamic team and support individuals on their recovery journey. Job Title: Substance Misuse Nurse Position: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Pay Rate: £32.00 Ltd per hour Start Date: Immediate Candidate Responsibilities for the Substance Misuse Nurse As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Delivering comprehensive assessments, care planning, and clinical interventions for clients with substance misuse needs Acting as a senior clinical decision-maker and providing expert guidance to nursing and support staff Supervising, mentoring, and appraising staff to support ongoing professional development Promoting evidence-based, trauma-informed, person-centred care approaches Collaborating with psychosocial, mental health, and physical healthcare teams to ensure integrated service delivery Leading the development and review of clinical protocols, policies, and pathways aligned with national standards such as NICE Participating in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities Ensuring accurate data management via systems like SystmOne and NDTMS, maintaining compliance with CQC standards Coordinating opioid substitution therapy (OST), including detox planning and medication reviews Maintaining effective partnerships with prisons, community services, and stakeholders for seamless patient care Managing workforce planning, rota management, and ensuring safe staffing levels Upholding safeguarding, confidentiality, and information governance standards Facilitating service user involvement and peer-led recovery initiatives Supporting research projects, audits, and reflective practice to enhance service qualityBenefits of Working with Service Care Solutions £250 training allowance Dedicated specialist consultant support Work with 1000’s of clients nationwide Weekly payroll runs Free candidate registrations Referral and loyalty bonus schemes Sign-up bonus Free compliance checksCandidate Requirements for the Substance Misuse Nurse NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Experience within substance misuse services Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills Knowledge of OST, detox protocols, and harm reduction strategiesHow to Apply Interested candidates should send their CV to (url removed) or call us at (phone number removed) for further information.
