Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) division is hiring an Attachment Sales Representative! Role Summary: In this role you will lead and manage dealer relationships to grow revenue of BCP machine Attachments and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability. You will also develop and implement programs to grow the Attachments business and support parts and service sales to Retail and Compact Customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who wants to grow their career and skills in the construction/heavy machine industry. What You'll Do (Job Duties) Lead BCP Attachments sales strategy planning, marketing, and sales techniques; support the introduction of new BCP Attachments. Design and assist dealers on BCP Attachments forecast, orders and inventory planning. Perform regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed. Identify opportunities for Caterpillar's BCP Attachment growth (including unmet market needs and new product ideas) as well as displace competitive offers Present products or services to stakeholders, answering any customer questions, and addressing their needs. Assist/coordinate dealer on-site sales training to assist with knowledge of the full product portfolio. Administration of variance programs and commercial actions. What You Have (Core Skills) Customer Focus: Ability to align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and the ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Effective Communications: Exhibit strong presentation skills and ability to adapt messaging and content dependent upon customer and dealer requirements. Negotiating: Ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with customers, dealers, and peers. Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization. Value Selling: Ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. Top Candidates Will Also Have Growth mindset to drive innovative and creative solutions, the ability to think differently and is willing to try new approaches Prior sales or dealer facing experience in the construction, heavy machinery or related industries Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a technical field Demonstrated ability to work independently and on complex assignments Location & Territory Details This role travels frequently to dealer locations (50-75%) in the following states: Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, and Alaska. Location: Desired location is Boise, ID with potential for alternative locations in territory. Seattle, WA is an accepted alternative location. The selected candidate is required to reside within the territory. A company vehicle and cell phone stipend are provided. This role covers seven Caterpillar dealers: Western States, Harnish Group, Hawthorne, Holt of California, Empire, Peterson, and Quinn Company. Relocation assistance is available to the desired or alternate location Summary Pay Range: $110,520.00 - $165,840.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
