Your mission:

  • Assist with overseeing all dispensing activities of the specialty pharmacy, including reviewing
    and interpreting physician orders, detecting drug interactions, packaging and labelling
    medication, controlling and monitoring drug therapies, and reporting adverse effects or events.
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and payers clearly and effectively;
  • Exemplary patient centered care in all interactions with both internal and external
    stakeholders.
  • Patient case management, typically via phone but also via email and in person;
  • Possess or develop a deep knowledge of specialty products.
  • Ensures documentation is completed and submitted during the shift, including Post Infusion
    Feedback Reports, Incident Reports, Adverse Event reports, Product Quality Complaints, etc. as
    per SOPs and general policies.
  • Reviews new protocols/procedures/information and Communications regularly to ensure
    pharmacy practice is up to date.
  • Submits adverse event and product quality complaints as per adverse event reporting sop and
    individual program sops as applicable.
  • Ensures related duties required to achieve the Cold Chain standards for all Biologics and
    specialty drug products stored and shipped by the pharmacy are consistently and rigorously
    followed.

What you bring to the table:

  • Education:
    • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the provincial jurisdiction of the pharmacy location.
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years' experience as a pharmacist in Canada.
    • Preference given to candidates with Kroll experience.
  • Skills:
    • Above average communication and relationship building skills are required.
    • General computer proficiency and competence with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions using critical thinking.
    • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills.
    • High attention to detail within a fast paced environment.
    • Driven by continuous learning.
    • Able to work well within a team environment.
    • English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal
      and external stakeholders.
    • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset

Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
