Your Role
As a Community Social Services Worker, you'll be a vital part of strengthening families and supporting individuals in Nunavut's communities. You will:
- Deliver child welfare and adult support services
- Provide counseling and support for families and individuals
- Collaborate with RCMP, health professionals, educators, and justice partners
- Assist with adoptions and community outreach

As Community Social Services Workers, you'll be at the heart of this work and play a vital role in protecting and supporting individuals and families, ensuring they have the resources and care they need to thrive. These positions are available in all 25 communities across Nunavut—giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact where it truly matters.

- You will be provided with a competitive salary package with an hourly pay range of $55.76 to $63.28. In addition, you will be provided with an attractive Northern Living Allowance which ranges from $8.37 to $22.80 per hour, depending on the community you reside in.

What is required?
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work / Diploma in Social Work
- 1 year of practical child protection experience
- A class 5 driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of hire
- A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check
- Being a registered social worker is considered an asset
The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land,Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
Acceptable combinations of education and experience may be considered for this position. We encourage you to apply if you have equivalent years of education and/or experience equal to the education and experience requirements listed above.
