Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics network. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, ensuring that inventory is properly stored, tracked, and distributed. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials and shipments.
  • Store materials in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Retrieve materials needed for production, shipping, or other departments.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct routine safety checks on all equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, strictly following all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
  • Adhere to all established logistics and warehouse operating procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Perform tasks involving manual lifting and movement of materials, potentially weighing up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is required. Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is essential. Must possess the physical capability to handle demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the critical importance of wearing appropriate PPE is mandatory. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent is required. This position is a key component of our logistics success, demanding diligence and a commitment to safety.
