What you can expect to do here:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Global Taxation, the holder will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Oversee the preparation of the transfer pricing documentation (master and local files), ensuring requirements are met across all jurisdictions
- Work with WSP Transfer Pricing team to oversee the company's operational transfer pricing requirements, including providing training and guidance to regional finance teams on transfer pricing executing and compliance
- Monitor changes in global tax regulations and transfer pricing regulations along with identifying and mitigating transfer pricing risks
- Oversee Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and other global tax reporting requirements
- Manage intercompany transactions, including intercompany agreements
- Lead and support tax audits and controversy matters related to international tax and transfer pricing
- Identify areas for process improvements and collaborate on various automation of tax processes and ongoing efforts to streamline operations
- Involvement in various special projects, including providing strategic support (i.e. Pillar II implementation, acquisitions, reorganizations, cross-border tax matters, etc)
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals
- Collaborate on other related projects
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce or accounting or other relevant degree;
- Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant experience in a large corporate environment, or from a firm with relevant experience;
- Bilingual English and French;
- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Proficiency with MS Office, (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
- Knowledge of Hyperion (an asset);
- Have the desire to improve technically;
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work in a decentralized organization which requires a sharpened sense of client focus and strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Treasury, Business Units) and external advisors;
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
