We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee daily operations at our Orlando, Florida distribution hub. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating the efforts of warehouse staff. You will be responsible for supervising receiving, storage, and distribution processes, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse logistics, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse layout, improving processes, and managing resources effectively. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges will be critical to your success. We are looking for someone who can inspire a team and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those related to lifting and material handling.
- Manage the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Ensure all team members utilize proper PPE and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with WMS and other warehouse management technologies.
- Ability to develop and implement efficient operational strategies.
- Proficiency in safety management and compliance.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to fostering a safe work culture.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
