We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is crucial to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged correctly to prevent damage during transit. Your commitment to accuracy and speed will directly impact our customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders using a pick list or scanner.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks for moving inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
