We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for our warehouse logistics, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. You will operate forklifts to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Organize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping duties as needed.
- Ensure all operations contribute to the smooth flow of logistics.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified forklift operator with proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
