Join our vibrant logistics team in Portland, Oregon, as a Warehouse Associate! This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, from the moment goods arrive to when they are dispatched. You will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping. We are looking for proactive, detail-oriented individuals who are committed to excellent performance and workplace Safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise for damage and accuracy.
- Sort and store inventory in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders, utilizing scanning technology when available.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly.
- Maintain optimal inventory accuracy through regular checks and audits.
- Uphold rigorous Safety standards, ensuring the work environment is clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times during work hours.
- Report any Safety hazards or equipment issues to management promptly.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations by meeting or exceeding productivity targets.
- Must be able to handle consistent physical demands, including significant Lifting of products weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with RF scanners and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
