We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsibilities:
- Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying counts and product details.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Ensure all packages are properly secured and labeled for transit.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking and documentation.
- Experience with warehouse equipment, including forklifts, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
