Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a proactive approach to warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying counts and product details.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and manifests.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Ensure all packages are properly secured and labeled for transit.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including lifting and material handling.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking and documentation.
  • Experience with warehouse equipment, including forklifts, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
