Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our state-of-the-art facility in Seattle, Washington. This role is central to the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain, involving the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products. The successful candidate will be proficient in operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks. A strong emphasis is placed on adhering to safety regulations and ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Your responsibilities will include receiving, staging, and distributing materials, as well as assisting with inventory control and cycle counts. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Moving, storing, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Assisting with receiving and shipping processes.
- Conducting regular equipment inspections and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Following all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participating in inventory management activities, such as cycle counts.
- Ensuring materials are properly staged for production or shipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Supporting logistics team members in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient logistics operation.
