Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately checking, documenting, and organizing all received goods. Your attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring that our inventory system is up-to-date and that all products are handled with care. You will work closely with suppliers and internal logistics teams to resolve any discrepancies. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is a top priority, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This is a key position in managing the flow of goods into our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Document all incoming inventory, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Inspect goods for quality and conformity to specifications.
- Tag and label items accurately for inventory tracking.
- Organize and stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (if certified).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
