Join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as an Inventory Clerk and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This position is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that stock levels are precise and reliable. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring all inventory data is up-to-date within our system. Responsibilities:
- Conduct frequent cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve any identified inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain precise inventory records utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Track the flow of inventory, including incoming receipts, outgoing shipments, and internal transfers.
- Identify and report any damaged, lost, or expired stock to management.
- Assist with receiving and put-away functions to ensure accurate inventory placement.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports for management review.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandated use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with operations and shipping teams to ensure overall inventory accuracy within the logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a comparable inventory control position.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards, including safe lifting procedures and the essential use of PPE.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve occasional lifting.
