We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our bustling operations in New York City, New York. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth functioning of our warehouse, handling a diverse range of tasks critical to our logistics chain. Your duties will encompass receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Accuracy and efficiency are key, as you'll interact with inventory systems and ensure the integrity of every order. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verify contents, and report any damages or discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels on shelves and in designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick items based on customer orders and prepare them for packing.
- Package orders securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Assist with outbound shipping processes, including labeling and staging.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in stocktaking activities.
- Uphold all company Safety standards and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve operational targets in logistics.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Capability to handle frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
