Position Overview:

The Snow Removal Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating snow removal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service. This includes managing a crew, operating equipment, ensuring all contractual obligations are met for assigned sites, and maintaining strong communication with management. The Crew Lead ensures that all work is completed according to company standards, site-specific requirements, and safety protocols. Strong performance may lead to summer landscaping installation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead assigned crew and ensure all sites are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Operate trucks and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor conditions and follow site-specific instructions for snow piling, trigger depths, and de-icing.
• Record all services, materials used, and any extra work performed.
• Conduct site checks after events and report issues, hazards, or damage.
• Complete pre- and post-shift equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure crew compliance with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Communicate regularly with management regarding progress, conditions, and service needs.
• Support training, supervision, and coordination of crew members as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years' experience leading snow removal crews.
• Experience operating pickup trucks and enclosed trailers, stand-on machines, sweepers, backpack blowers, and hand equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and own transportation to warehouse in Springbank.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in cold and challenging weather conditions.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, late evenings, overnight, and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience:

• snow removal leadership: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 Licence (required)
