We are looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our busy logistics center in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from production and storage areas, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and drivers, contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role involves frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of various materials. Experience with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is advantageous. We are dedicated to fostering a secure and productive workplace for our team. As a Material Handler, you will be a key part of our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are handled correctly and efficiently, which is vital for inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and stack materials neatly in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- This role requires regular lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team success.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in logistics is a plus.
