We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Material Handler to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is essential for supporting our warehouse operations by efficiently moving materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting goods, ensuring smooth workflow for receiving, put-away, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You will operate various material handling equipment and play a crucial part in our logistics chain, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your efforts will directly impact our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist with put-away of received goods and staging of orders for shipment.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure that materials are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to Safety standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all company Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Must be able to handle frequent and substantial Lifting of items up to 75 lbs.
- Understand the importance of proper material handling in logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
- Excellent physical stamina and capacity for sustained manual labor, including significant Lifting.
- Strong awareness of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Commitment to wearing and utilizing PPE as required.
- Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of logistics principles is beneficial.
