We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our bustling warehouse operations in Miami, Florida. This role is key to our logistics chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding our high standards for accuracy and Safety. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to manage the receiving process efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach and a dedication to maintaining precise inventory records, which directly impacts our overall warehouse performance. Proper handling of incoming shipments is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, and discrepancies against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory as required.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to management and relevant departments.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, which may include some light Lifting.
- Understand the flow of goods within the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving occasional light Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics terminology and processes.
