Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Adhere to established lifting guidelines for manual handling.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and adherence to lifting protocols.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, including the consistent use of required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
