We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Forklift Operator in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts to support loading and unloading operations, as well as moving materials within the facility. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and timely order processing. Safety is our top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and order picking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow established warehouse procedures and logistics best practices.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Must be able to perform tasks that require significant physical dexterity and occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and awareness of surroundings.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
