We are hiring a versatile Distribution Center Associate for our Portland, Oregon location. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, encompassing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient flow of products. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will work collaboratively with a team to meet daily operational goals and contribute to the overall success of our distribution efforts. Your role is critical to delivering excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Pick and pack orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Stock and organize inventory within the distribution center.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
- Regularly perform tasks involving lifting and moving of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with general logistics principles is a plus.
