Job Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the network infrastructure of a fast-paced hospitality company. This role ensures high availability, security, and reliability of network systems to support daily operations, enhance guest experiences, and enable seamless connectivity across all properties and locations.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
· Design and deploy scalable and secure networks, including LANs, WANs, WLANs, and VPNs, tailored to the unique needs of the hospitality environment.
· Evaluate and recommend networking hardware, software, and services to optimize performance and support business objectives.
Maintenance and Monitoring:
· Perform regular maintenance of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
· Monitor network performance and proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
· Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.
Security and Compliance:
· Implement and enforce robust security protocols to safeguard sensitive guest and company data.
· Ensure network compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS and GDPR.
· Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools.
Support and Troubleshooting:
· Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues, resolving problems promptly to maintain business continuity.
· Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve cross-functional system issues.
· Assist with the installation and configuration of networking equipment during property expansions or renovations.
Collaboration and Vendor Management:
· Work closely with other IT team members and departments to align network infrastructure with organizational goals.
· Manage relationships with network service providers and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Technology Upgrades:
· Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends to propose and implement improvements.
· Lead or assist with network upgrades and migrations to modernize infrastructure and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within the hospitality industry or a multi-location environment.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency with networking hardware such as Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms.
· In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, VoIP).
· Experience with wireless network design and implementation, including guest Wi-Fi solutions.
· Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools.
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
Soft Skills:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities.
