Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in Cincinnati, Ohio! This critical role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders. We are looking for an individual who is organized, precise, and committed to maintaining efficient logistics operations. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This role involves frequent lifting and moving of received goods, so physical capability is important. You will be an essential part of our supply chain, ensuring that our warehouse is well-stocked and organized. We are dedicated to a safe and productive work environment for all our employees. Accuracy and efficiency are key to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified) or pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
