$164,000.00/yr - $205,000.00/yr Overview:

The Global Visual + Experiential Designer Director for Kendo will lead the creative vision for all IRL spaces across the globe and for all brands at Kendo, integrating design, merchandising, and copy to create a unified creative vision for brand presentation. This role involves translating strategy, campaigns, and 2D assets into compelling 3D storytelling for consumers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in conceptualizing and drafting innovative retail and experiential initiatives, aligning ideas with consumer insights, brand DNA, and business objectives to deliver top-tier experiences. The role requires proactive identification of retail and consumer landscape changes and proposing strategies to stay ahead. Responsibilities encompass supporting all Kendo brands through projects in retail spaces, merchandising, marketing, store design, experiential marketing, and collaborations with influencers, founders, and retail partners. Responsibilities:

Lead innovative thinking and elevate the IRL brand experience to industry-leading standards. Conceptualize + Design

Design visually appealing, on-brand in-store displays, windows, and animated visual merchandising spaces to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement, utilizing sketches and renderings. Introduce and develop innovative design concepts for experiential and retail environments. Translate 2D concepts into immersive 3D brand storytelling. Sourcing

Research and select materials and fixtures to optimize product displays. Build relationships with vendors and oversee procurement of fixtures. Collaborate with brand teams to create clear briefs for product launches. Lead brainstorming sessions with creative teams to align fixture design with overall concepts. Work with retailer partners and field teams to understand and evaluate fixture effectiveness. Maintain Visual Standards

Regularly visit stores to ensure visual merchandising standards are upheld and implement innovative improvements as needed. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Visual Design or related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of proven experience in Store Design, Visual Merchandising, or related roles within the beauty industry. Deep understanding of beauty industry trends and consumer behavior. Experience working with beauty retailers like Sephora and Ulta. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp). Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and innovative thinking skills. Ability to translate ideas into visually compelling displays. Strong project management skills and deadline adherence. Experience with vendor management and procurement processes. Leadership experience in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
