SOFTWARE ENGINEER - EPICOR ERP

PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH EPICOR ERP SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED (3+ years)

We leverage Epicor's adaptability of the solutions; when a business has specific needs that cannot be addressed through the standard product, we work with them to design and deliver needed customizations and integrations.

As Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager in providing Customer focused development activities and supporting the Service department objectives.

This is primarily a software development role. Most development is performed in C#, though JavaScript, and SQL knowledge may be required for some projects. In addition to working on new projects, you will be providing customer support for previously developed solutions in limited cases.

Responsibilities

• Convert needs as described by business consultants to technical designs.

• Work with clients to analyze and resolve issues and optimize processes.

• Create solutions using Epicor's customization tools and framework and related technologies.

• Work with clients to test and confirm that delivered items meet their needs and provide all requested functionality.

• Document created solutions.

• Support existing customizations for established clients during upgrades and similar situations.

• Work with third parties to design and develop integrations between Epicor and other products.

• Provide training to clients related to creation of BAQs, BPMs and other Epicor-centric technical topics.

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements

• Requirement: Substantial experience working with the Epicor ERP system (3+ years)

• High level of comfort working with C#, .NET development, MS SQL, Visual Studio and related MS technologies.

• Experience with IIS, REST APIs, web services, JavaScript and related technologies

• Experience with SSRS reporting

• Familiarity with cloud paradigms and working within hosted platforms.

• Knowledge of general principals and best practices of manufacturing businesses.

• Experience working with GitHub or similar source control systems.

• Ability to create documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfort in communicating technical concepts, requirements, and restrictions to non-technical audiences.

• Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team

• Capability to develop a Trusted Advisor relationship with customers
