Job Description

We are looking for energetic people to develop new business for our newly acquired Invertek product line. You will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing sales plans. Additionally, the role aims to foster and maintain strong business relationships with both existing clients and potential prospects, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Coach a professional sales organization to meet or exceed specific goals for revenue growth.
  • Product training for a mostly mechanical sales organization.
  • Develop and implement annual sales plans.
  • Interface with existing regional manufacturers' representatives.
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with staff resources to define overall sales strategy and develop solutions responsive to the customer's business (Business Development, Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Vice President of Sales in development of sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to grow and maintain business within the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of outside sales experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the electrical controls market with specific emphasis on VFD products.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
  • High level of financial and business acumen.
  • Staff consulting and relationship building skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to perform a considerable amount of travel (~50%).
