Weekend Caregiver

RAPS is Seeking a Weekend caregiver to assist an individual with MS (E16)

Location : South East Edmonton (Bonnie Doon)

Days/Hours: Alternating weekends

_ 9am-2pm + _

Occasional evenings 5pm-9pm

· Job Description : Duties include but are not limited to: mechanical transfers using a ceiling track lift or pivot transfers

· personal care such as changing incontinence products and dressing

· Range of motion exercises

· Medication administration

· Simple meal preparation and light housekeeping

· Possible outings via DATS transportation

Please note: 1 friendly dog in the home requiring minor care (filling food/water bowls, let dog in/out of house)

Qualifications and Other Requirements : The successful candidate must have a clear criminal record check containing the vulnerable sector, reliable transportation, must have experience with transfers using a ceiling track lift. Must speak clear fluent English. Previous experience in the health care field (minimum 6 months), or a Health Care Aide Certification (equivalencies may be accepted) is considered a strong asset.

Rate of Pay : $19.50/ hour to start
