Platinum Trailers is a growing manufacturer specializing in high-quality metal fabrication and custom solutions. We are looking for a Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team and help us maintain exceptional quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-precision metal parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
  • Set up machines, load materials, adjust parameters, and perform basic maintenance.
  • Create and optimize cutting nests to maximize material usage and production efficiency.
  • Control and track sheet metal inventory, update stock numbers, and communicate material needs.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformity to tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to cutting quality, machine performance, or material setup.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively with the production, welding, and fabrication teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience operating laser cutting machines is an asset.
  • Experience with nesting software is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, gauges, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measure, etc.).
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple jobs efficiently.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
