Description The candidate must sit in the Bay area as there will be an onsite component relating to a public event. Summary We are seeking an Associate Creative Director Art Director for a ~2-3 month contract position to focus on social-first content. The ideal candidate can work proactively and autonomously (in partnership with a writer) to conceptualize, produce, and deliver work with high attention to detail and under tight deadlines. They will manage multiple projects, explore innovative ideas, and quickly iterate based on feedback. The work should effectively convey complex technical concepts as well as simple, consumer-focused ideas. This person must be comfortable with a fluid schedule, working across multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborating with a cross-functional team of creatives, content professionals, production partners, and stakeholders. You must have a high level of social-first craft skills (UGC storytelling, familiarity with social templates & elements). The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker, aware of social trends and culture, and a strategic problem solver. Required Skills Ability to translate complex subjects into engaging social content Autonomous project management and execution Conceptualize, art direct, and produce social-first ideas, focusing on in-product experiences and short videos, leveraging various formats Communicate ideas clearly to stakeholders across product, marketing, and communications Collaborate with cross-functional teams including writers, designers, editors, and leaders Passion for design and art direction Location in SF Bay, with ability to come to the office as needed Skills Visual design, Art direction, Graphic design, Video editing Minimum Qualifications 6+ years in an ad agency or in-house environment, concepting and art directing brand and product ideas Experience creating social content across multiple platforms Proven ability to simplify complex topics into entertaining social concepts Experience in conceptual design, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator Experience with self-initiated projects Excellent communication skills Experience designing for formats like Stories, Reels, IG, FB, WhatsApp Preferred Qualifications Thrives in fast-paced, quick-turn environments Experience in product storytelling and project strategy Detail-oriented with a maker mindset Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience in tech is a plus. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits Pay range: $90.00 - $135.00/hr. Requirements Eligibility for benefits depends on employment classification and tenure.
