The
Field Applications Engineer (FAE)
sits as a core member of the Sales organization, serving as a technical partner to customers and the sales team. The role blends deep product understanding with relationship?driven support to help our installers, distributors and EPC partners design and deploy best?in?class Sol?Ark systems. FAEs guide customers through design reviews, installation best?practice and advanced troubleshootingensuring every project hits technical and business targets. They also carry the Voice of the Customer, giving structured field feedback to our internal Product and Applications Engineering to continually improve. This is a hands?on, customer?facing role ideal for people who join tech fluency with communicationhelping customers win before, during, and after the sale. Key Responsibilities Partner with Regional Sales Managers to provide pre?sale technical consultation and system design support. Conduct design and application reviews for complex hybrid inverter and energy storage projects. Join Technical Support on field commissioning, trouble?shooting, and VIP?level issue resolution for key accounts. Deliver installer trainings, webinars, and technical demos that speed partner enablement. Award as the customer advocate inside Sol?Ark, sending real?world insights to influence product road?maps and docs. Collaborate with Product and Applications Engineering to sharpen install standards and technical collateral. Spot into steps to proactively solve customer problems and propose scalable solutions before escalation. Support trade shows, road shows and in sales venues as a technical subject matter expert. Up to 25% travel can happen.
Qualifications Required
Hands?on solar PV, battery energy storage systems, and hybrid inverters know?how. Excellent communication and presentation skill for tech and non?tech audiences. Proven ability to support the sales process with technical clarity and prudence. Strong organization and follow?up habitsownership mentality. Customer?first mindset with power to balance technical accuracy and business priorities.
Preferred
5+ years in solar or energy storage as a field engineer, installer, sales engineer or technical support professional. BS degree in Engineering. NABCEP cert or equivalent tech training. Comms with commissioning tools, system monitoring, remote diagnostics.
