Opportunity Overview

Due to the significant growth our firm has experienced over the past 12 months, we are seeking a talented and energetic consultant with a wide range of experience in the field to join our team. As a Human Resources Professional at F.H. Black & Company CPA Inc., you will be responsible for the management of various client engagements amongst a wide range of industries, providing on-site client support and consulting on an ongoing basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to and working in collaboration with the HR Director, our Senior Human Resources Consultant will provide functional support to our clients on an ongoing basis in areas such as:

  • Staffing & retention
  • Orientation & onboarding
  • Interpersonal relations
  • Performance & coaching management
  • Policy adherence
  • Employee engagement

This individual will play a critical part in supporting, partnering with and guiding our clients in the field of Human Resources, ensuring legislative compliance at all times. Main responsibilities include:

  • Full-cycle recruiting including sourcing candidates, interviewing, reference checking
  • Terminations on behalf of clients including consideration of legal issues
  • Working with employees coaching through internal conflict, resolution of disputes, coaching
  • Development of corporate policies, creation of employee handbooks or review of existing policies, compliant with HR legislation
  • Ability to prospect and secure new business in all HR consulting areas

Credentials

  • 4-6 years in a senior HR role as an HR consultant or as internal HR management
  • Formal HR training, degree or diploma
  • CPHR or CPHR student considered a strong asset
