POSITION: Part-time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant
Our non-profit organization located in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper. Reporting to the Financial Executive, this role is crucial in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support. This is a part-time, opportunity with an immediate start date. The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated, and able to work independently.
Key skills and qualifications:
· Strong command of English language, written and verbal
· Great interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate with other employees and the Executive
· Must be detail oriented with strong financial literacy
· Possess strong organizational and multitasking skills will exceptional attention to detail
· The ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines
· The ability to communicate complex financial data with the Executive
· Excellent data entry skills maintaining accurate financial records
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Access, Excel, etc. Strong experience with Excel is an asset towards balancing inventory and completing lotteries accounts per rules and regulations
· Previous experience and knowledge of charitable or non-profit operations is an asset.
· Familiar with 'Ceridian' is an asset
Experience Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience in bookkeeping or general accounting administration
· Previous experience and knowledge of charitable or non-profit operations is an asset.
· Experience with Sage 50 software preferred
· Additional duties and responsibilities include:
· Preparing and depositing accurate daily deposits
· Submit payroll through our payroll provider "Ceridian"
· Office administrative support
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday ( 20 hours per week) Job Type: Part-time
Wage: $22.38 – $32.50 per hour, depending on experience
Location: On site, within British Columbia
