AutoBody Repair Center Production Manager

Job Overview
The AutoBody Repair Center Production Manager is a key leadership role responsible in assisting and overseeing the operations of the shop. Provide effective leadership, direction and motivation for all production staff and effectively maintain company standards of productivity, profitability and quality.

Duties

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure the repair process is completed efficient & correctly meet quality standards.
• Plan labour needs based on schedules & parts orders
• Monitor workforce attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
• Maintain strong employee relations, motivation, and team performance.
• Ensure that all repairs are completed to a high standard and meeting industry regulations using a repair first mentality
• Deliver on promises made to customers ensuring they will be without their vehicles for the shortest possible time
• Oversee daily activities including scheduling repairs, managing inventory and ensuring auto body shop operates effectively and efficiently.
• Make decisions based on knowledge and data
• Complete performance reviews and development of talent
• Identify causes of issues and blockages which interrupt the flow of work through the workshop and problem solve
• Train and supervise technicians and support staff, ensuring they are training, skilled and motivated
• Share responsibility in the overall profitability of the center while focusing on the customer experience and cost containment
• Commit to an environment of continuous improvement

Skills

• 5 Years of experience recommended but all AutoBody Administrative Position will be an asset.
• Proven experience in office administration and or management
• Excellent organizational, communication and multi asking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting tools
• Familiarity with Industry Specific software such as Mitchell Connect and Mitchell Pro Demand
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree would be a plus
