Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Columbus, Ohio? Our warehouse is seeking a certified and experienced individual to manage the safe and efficient movement of materials. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory within the facility, and ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and safely. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations and requires a strong commitment to safety and precision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating forklifts in a warehouse environment, possess excellent spatial awareness, and adhere strictly to all safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Organize warehouse inventory to maximize space and accessibility.
- Assist in receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Contribute to a safe and productive warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
