We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will work with various types of heavy equipment and vehicles, contributing to the overall performance of our shop! Possible shop forman spot or like experience job.
*Duties*
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Perform regular maintenance and DOT inspections on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
* Operate hand tools and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
* Execute equipment repair tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
* Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
* Keep a clean and safe workspace
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
* 4–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
* Experience working in a dealership setting is a plus but not mandatory.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
* Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
* CDL is a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
