Summary
We are seeking a Medical Secretary to join our team in Cottage Country. This vital role supports our healthcare providers by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth clinic operations at our location in Cottage Country. Your contribution will help us deliver exceptional patient care aligned with our mission.
Responsibilities
- Book appointments and distribute messages.
- Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, including scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Addresses patient inquires on the phone and in person.
- Experience with EMR, particularly Telus Health PS Suite.
- Participates in preventative care management.
- Managing outgoing referrals and diagnostic testing for patients and incoming results.
- Maintain office supplies and overall office functioning.
- Participates on organizational committees.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Contributes to the mission, vision, and values of CCFHT.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a medical administration program and or related office administration course preferred.
- Previous related clerical experience in a medical practice or hospital setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities while managing a high volume of phone calls and daily transactions.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues.
- Experience working in a community setting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Compensation: Annual salary $43,667.00, comprehensive benefits package, and participation in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
