Job Title: Vehicle Detailer

The Vehicle Detailer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of vehicles, both interior and exterior, to meet dealership standards and ensure a positive customer experience. This includes detailing new and used inventory, preparing vehicles for delivery, and supporting the dealership with showroom and lot presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly wash and clean the exterior of vehicles, including windows and hold-open mechanisms.
• Apply wax and buff vehicle surfaces using non-abrasive products.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors and remove dust and debris.
• Clean upholstery, carpets, and other interior surfaces using proper cleaners and equipment.
• Treat leather, vinyl, and fabric surfaces with conditioners, preservatives, and spot removers.
• Clean engines and engine compartments using specialized cleaning tools and products.
• Use appropriate cleaners to remove stubborn or unusual substances in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect vehicles for visible defects such as scratches, dents, or torn upholstery.
• Refurbish interior and engine compartments to maintain showroom quality standards.
• Apply tire dressing to enhance the appearance of wheels and tires.
• Ensure all showrooms and lot vehicles are clean, presentable, and properly stickered.
• Remove sales or promotional stickers from vehicles sold.
• Assist with snow removal, brush snow off vehicles and assist with re-parking vehicles in the dealership lot when required.
• Checking in new vehicles.
• Install accessories on vehicles as requested.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including detailing bay and shop areas.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning agents and tools.
• Assist service advisors in drive-thru as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive detailing or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions (e.g., snow removal from vehicles).
• Physically able to stand, bend, reach, and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is an asset.
