Performs radio isotopic scanning of the heart including static and dynamic studies.
*Essential Job Duties:*
1. Verify patient’s identification and physician’s orders; and prepares patients for procedures.
2. Obtain and document patient’s medical history.
3. Prepare all reagents and standards as necessary for performance of tests within the department.
4. Administer isotopes for various body scan and invitro studies with authorization of the physician (Cardiologist).
5. Recognize inaccurate or abnormal results of tests and brings to the attention of the supervisor.
6. Report test results to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
7. Assist with the performance and recording of all quality programs.
8. All other duties as assigned.
*Licensure/Certification *Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or registry eligible (CNMT).
CPR Certification.
