Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator. We are looking for equipment operators with experience operating loaders, rock trucks, excavators, dozers.

Responsibilities:

• Operates heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Performs routine cleanings and maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Participate in company safety program and initiatives, following safe work practices at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid class 5 drivers license and clean abstract.
• At least 5 year of previous experience operating heavy equipment.
• Previous experience working in an Aggregate pit is an asset.

Work Environment

• This is a field-based position on an active worksite. PPE is required including CSA certified steel-toed boots.
• Equipment Operators work outdoors frequently in various weather conditions on ground that may be rough, muddy, or icy.
• Must be able to sit for long periods.

Hours of Work

Shifts are generally 8-12 hours in length, Monday-Friday. Hours may vary during the winter season based on the needs of the business.

Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and Fit for Work testing as part of the hiring process.
