We are looking for a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials using forklifts or pallet jacks, and maintaining inventory organization. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stack, organize, and store materials in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure that all materials are handled safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Operate all equipment safely and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the logistics team in various tasks as needed.
- Be aware of potential hazards and take necessary precautions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
