Job Summary:
Our logistics center in San Jose, California, is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all orders are prepared correctly and dispatched on time. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, verifying shipment contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and correct deliveries. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, a strong understanding of shipping procedures, and a commitment to accuracy and safety. You will be working closely with warehouse staff and external carriers. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to all safety protocols. While primarily an administrative role, some light lifting may be involved. Responsibilities:
  • Process and prepare all outgoing shipments.
  • Verify the accuracy of picked items against shipping orders.
  • Generate and attach shipping labels and necessary documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and logistics requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to perform occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics operations.
  • Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
