Seeking a diligent Material Handler for our Omaha, Nebraska location. This position is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the facility. Your dedication to safety and operational excellence is key.
Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Receive, identify, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick materials needed for production or order fulfillment based on instructions.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage and ensure product integrity within our logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 60 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow principles.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to job duties.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
